Hero Ajith has returned smarter and tougher with ‘Paramasivan’.
He dons the role of an angry young man quite well with exciting
action scenes. Ajith fans will surely enjoy watching their hero
going for the kill. However, this P. Vasu directed film has been
inspired by Mahesh Bhatt’s film ‘Kartoos’, though the director
has made some nativity changes in the film.
In the film,
Subramaniam Siva (Ajith) is on a death row for killing five
policemen who killed his father and sister. Now, SP Nandakumar (Prakash
Raj), an honest police officer wants to use him to end the
terrorists who are responsible for Coimbatore bomb blast. And
so, Siva agrees to accomplish the mission, as he is promised a
new life.
Then Siva escapes from the jail with a new identity as
Paramasivan with the help of Nandakumar. Siva has to accomplish
the mission or lose his life, as he is dead in the eyes of the
world. The twist starts because of Nandakumar’s bigger plans for
Siva. Meanwhile, CBI officer Nair (Jayaram) and his assistant
Agniputran (Vivek) are on their trail.
The presentation and the action scenes are really brilliant but
the climax is a bit unprofessional
and it looks like the director has rushed up things to complete
the film on time. The second half of the film is wonderful
especially after Siva completes his mission and goes about to
handle Nandakumar.
Prakash Raj and Ajith are superb in carrying about their
roles and they have good screen presence. The fight scenes
between them are the highlights of the film. Ajith does dances,
fights and even do the songs but he keeps his central character
of a killer intact. Laila also has done job well though her
character is silly and irritating. Jayaram and Vivek have
successfully brought out the laughter veins of the audience.
As far as technical aspect of the film is concerned, camera
work by Sekhar V.Joseph is excellent. But Vidyasagar’s music is
quite ordinary. On the whole, ‘Paramasivan’ is a good
entertainer with slick action scenes. Ajith fans should not miss
it. |
